The History of Rowland Kenney

Currently, there is some very interesting research being carried out by Paul Buvarp on the history of Rowland Kenney – British Press Attaché in Oslo, Norway. This man had significant connections to British SIS from WW1 and again during WW2. Kenney’s escape from Norway when the Germans invaded is particularly interesting and involved using a clandestine transmitter to inform the British that the Germans had invaded Norway in April 1940. There followed a cat-and-mouse chase from Oslo to the west coast where Kenney made good his escape via HMS Diana.

"Harald Espeli in his article about Norges Bank under okkupasjonen [occupation] mentions your work as the most thorough study of the gold transport."
