New Projects

Currently, I am writing an adaptation of ‘Redd Gullet!'(see Redd Gullet! page) for consideration as a TV documentary or as a film and so begins the exciting story of perhaps the greatest gold snatch in wartime history…

Other projects concern researching one of the most talked about stories from WW2, but from the perspective of three Allied servicemen, two of whom were Norwegian and the tale of a very special Norwegian SOE agent who carried out his duty as ordered and subsequently was feted in London for his work.

Robert Pearson – May 2014

In May, I visited Oslo with the sole purpose of researching at the Hjemmefrontmuseum – Resistance Museum – with my good friend and fellow researcher, Geoff Ward. The museum staff were most helpful and generous and as such we came away with some top quality information and have now begun the process of writing a book collaboratively on the Norway during WW2. The material is fresh, so looking forward to penning some chapters.

These past few months have been hectic. Samlerhuset and London Mint Office requested articles on the loss of the Bogestad – a merchant ship that took on the might of the German cruiser, Admiral Hipper to help save a convoy; nine articles on the Norwegian gold transport and a substantial article on the Battle of Britian. LMO have also requested an article on the capture and kidnap of General Kreipe by SOE in Crete, which is now near completion.

"Harald Espeli in his article about Norges Bank under okkupasjonen [occupation] mentions your work as the most thorough study of the gold transport."
